Sarah + Jordan

Sarah’s the craftiest gal around…she personally made all the flower arrangements from dried selections of wheat grass and lavender, painted vases, hand-bagged dried lavender for favors, and put together the best kids room at a wedding we’ve ever seen (complete with rugs, movies, monogrammed mason jars, and toys and snacks galore)! But, she’s certainly met her match with Jordan, who purchased parts from over sixteen vintage chandeliers and painstakingly crafted them back together into four stunning chandeliers that lit the reception space. It was a privilege to work this wedding at Blanc Denver, a fantastic venue downtown. The weather cooperated for a fabulous night of dancing under the stars to the 80s beats of New Sensation. Ombre Backdrop – From Inspiration to Reality

Woodlark recently threw an Kentucky Derby engagement party for some of our best friends. During the planning process we were inspired by the ombre theme that the bride and groom are working into the elements of their big day. Even their invitation suite was water-colored ombre by hand!

The photo backdrop for the engagement party was inspired by this beautiful ombre ribbon altar that we’ve featured before. Rather than hand dyeing fabric, we used ribbons in varying shades of pink. We tied the ribbons on the dowel from lightest to darkest and voila, the perfect backdrop for a photo station!
